Caring for those who raised us. Respecting heritage. Learning from those who have gone before us. Meeting the needs of the community. All of these traditions are carried out at Eliza Bryant Village, which provides care for more than 800 seniors annually through its range of services.
The Inez Myers Senior Outreach Center
Seniors who are able to live at home, but may experience memory loss, physical disabilities or social isolation can also participate in multiple levels of stimulating activities at the Inez Myers Senior Outreach Center. Activities and programs help participants reach their fullest potential through group or individually-designed activities. Adult Day Services provides seniors from throughout the community with social, medical, and therapeutic support. Participants receive hot lunches, snacks and door-to-door transportation to and from Eliza Bryant Village.
The multidisciplinary staff designs activities for group participation as well as individualized programming. These programs assist in participants’ ability to remain in their homes.
Transportation
Eliza Bryant Village offers one of few inner city transportation programs for the elderly – a key factor in helping senior citizens maintain health and independence.

Independent Senior Housing
Eliza Bryant Village features three modern, comfortable housing facilities to provide seniors with all the comforts of home in a community-like setting. These include Eliza Bryant Village Garden Estates, with 44 one-story cluster units; Eliza Bryant Manor, a 60-unit low-rise apartment building; and the Lodge at Eliza Bryant Village (coming soon), with 45 units of housing.
Residential units have private baths and fully-equipped kitchens. A community lounge and multi-purpose room are also available for residents. Those who live in senior housing can participate in various campus programs and activities, including a nutrition program, the Inez Myers Senior Outreach Center, the primary health and dental clinic, and transportation services.

Skilled Nursing
When nursing care is needed, Eliza Bryant is ready to serve – from short-term recuperation from a hospital stay to long-term medical care. Physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation therapists lead the professional healthcare team in the 175-bed wing. Programming in each specialized area is designed to foster positive, interactive relationships, promote success, and maximize individual abilities.
The Eva L. and Joseph M. Bruening Alzheimer’s Unit
The Eva L. and Joseph M. Bruening Alzheimer’s Unit opened in 2003, and offers care in a protective, secured environment for memory-impaired residents. Specially designed therapeutic art and music programs, exercise sessions and social outings offer residents varied opportunities. This specialized unit is the first Alzheimer’s unit in Cleveland’s inner city.
Hospice and Palliative Care
Eliza Bryant Village provides a compassionate approach by attending to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of hospice patients and their families.
