Become a Volunteer at Eliza Bryant Village!

You have the power to touch our the hearts of  our seniors in their sunset years, giving them memories they will always cherish!

Our success in serving our seniors and community for more than 120 years is dependent not only on our dedicated staff, but also on our volunteers who are critical in fulfilling our mission to provide quality services, outreach programs and a dignified, compassionate and secure living environment for seniors.

Volunteering with Eliza Bryant Village is a great way to add new skills and to network. But most important, you are helping to improve the quality of life for seniors in your community.

We have a variety of fun and engaging opportunities for volunteers who make a difference in the lives of  more than 1,200 seniors who live at or visit Eliza Bryant Village.

Volunteer Application Process

Volunteers are required to complete an Individual Volunteer Application or Group Volunteer Application, as well as our Consent & Release Packet that includes:

  • Background Authorization Form
  • Confidentiality Statement
  • Media Release Form
  • Liability Release Form

Volunteers will participate in a placement interview and attend a volunteer orientation at Eliza Bryant Village.

Background checks are required for individual volunteers over the age of 18. Eliza Bryant Village will pay for the cost of individual background checks. A TB test (a tuberculin skin test) is required for individuals donating more than 10 hours of service. Eliza Bryant Village will administer the test on-site at no cost to the volunteer.

Special Volunteer Opportunities

Administrative & Clerical Services Needed

If you are task-oriented and like working in a friendly office environment then volunteering in our administrative office will be a great fit for you. As an administrative volunteer, you will assist with operational responsibilities in our accounting department. Volunteer duties in this area range from tasks such as assisting with filing, account payables and receivables, gathering documents needed for audits and helping to maintain the inventory of files and assist in calling for files when needed.

We partnered with Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) to reward you with two free tickets to a select 2017 Cleveland Indians Game.

Participation instructions:

Register with BVU’s Volunteer Center.

Complete at least four hours of service with Eliza Bryant Village between today and August 31, 2017. Hours can be earned over multiple dates.

Log your completed hours in the BVU Volunteer Center and select the game you wish to attend. BVU will email you directly with instructions to claim your tickets.
