Coronavirus Letter to EBV Family & Friends

March 10, 2020

Dear Family Member/Friend:

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, Eliza Bryant Village is enacting its right to suspend all visitations to our residents in light of the recent developments with COVID 19 (coronavirus) until further notice.  This protocol is established to protect the health and well being of those under our care.  As of today, Governor Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency for Ohio after three patients tested positive for coronavirus. These cases are NOT associated with our facility name or our campus. We are monitoring this situation constantly, and are taking proactive measures to attempt to reduce the risks of exposure for our elderly population, noted as the most vulnerable.

We ask that you please practice the CDC recommendations for preventing the spread of germs, at minimum, as listed below:

While in the facility

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Use hand-sanitizer placed throughout our facility.

In the community and at home

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Wash your hands properly.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

Thank you for your help in safeguarding the health of our residents.

Bradley Willmore, MBA, LNHA
