Please join Eliza Bryant Village as we celebrate 122 years of providing quality services to seniors and their caregivers. Our Annual Meeting & Reception will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eliza Bryant Village, in The Inez Myer Senior Outreach Center, 7201 Wade Park Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.
Our keynote speaker is Joan Southgate, founder of Restore Cleveland Hope, created to celebrate Cleveland’s historic anti-slavery past through the establishment and operation of an Underground Railroad education and resource center in the historic Cozad-Bates House. At age 73, Ms. Southgate began walking the 519 miles from Ripley, Ohio to St. Catharines, Ontario, Harriet Tubman’s terminus on the Underground Railroad. To raise money for Restore Cleveland Hope, she walked another 250 miles at age 80 from Canada back to Cleveland. Ms. Southgate’s journey of advocating for individuals in need is an example of how we can all fulfill the mission of our founder, Eliza Simmons Bryant, to care for seniors with dignity and compassion. Complimentary h’dourves and beverages will be provided. Registration is required.
