John Carroll University’s Living the Mission Day at Eliza Bryant Village!
On Thursday, August 25th, Eliza Bryant Village welcomed approximately 65 John Carroll first year students to assist in various service projects around The Village. This was a part of John Carroll University’s “Living the Mission” Day where all John Carroll first year students engaged in an activity as part of orientation week.
The volunteers were extremely helpful as The Village worked to prepare for the upcoming 120th Anniversary Celebration Kickoff to be held on Sunday, August 28th. They assisted in cleaning our grounds; painting and playing bingo with our residents; and preparing for our anniversary celebration kickoff by helping to fold programs and create poster board welcoming our guests.
Our residents truly appreciated their time in The Village and many of the students were excited to come back in the Fall for their weekly service commitment through the Center for Service and Social Action at John Carroll University.
Thank you to the organizers, JP Graulty and Samantha Cocco, and the first year John Carroll students! We wish them the absolute best as they embark upon their post secondary journey!
