You have the power to touch our the hearts of our seniors in their sunset years, giving them memories they will always cherish!

Our success in serving our seniors and community for 123 years is dependent not only on our dedicated staff but also on our volunteers who are essential in fulfilling our mission.

Volunteering at Eliza Bryant Village is a great way to develop new skills and network with community members. Most importantly, by serving as a volunteer, YOU are helping to improve the quality of life for seniors throughout Greater Cleveland. Consider joining the hundreds of individuals and groups who volunteer with Eliza Bryant Village in ongoing and one-time opportunities each year. Volunteer Application Process

Individual Volunteers

  1. Prospective volunteers must complete an Individual Volunteer Application. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer independently at Eliza Bryant Village.
  2. All prospective volunteers over the age of 18 must successfully complete a background check.  The background check will be provided through a link to Verified Volunteers, an electronic system for volunteer screenings.
  3. For prospective volunteers seeking to volunteer more than 10 hours in a month with direct interaction with seniors, a two-step TB (tuberculosis) test is required before the start of service at Eliza Bryant Village.  If already successfully completed within the last year, a prospective volunteer can submit the proper medical documentation.
  4. All prospective volunteers must review the Eliza Bryant Village Volunteer Handbook & Policy Manual and sign off on the Eliza Bryant Village Handbook Agreement Form.
  5. Once approved for service, volunteers must attend an orientation/tour.

Group Volunteers

  1. The leader of a prospective volunteer group must complete a Group Volunteer Application at least two weeks before the start of service. Groups over the size of 5 members should contact Eliza Bryant Village to check accommodations prior to completing the group application.
  2. Each member of the group must complete the Eliza Bryant Village Group Volunteer Information & Wavier Form before the start of service.

2019 Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

On Thursday, March 14, 2019, Eliza Bryant Village had the pleasure of hosting over 70 cherished volunteers for an evening of live musical entertainment, giveaways, delicious food and an awards ceremony. The goal of the Volunteer Recognition Celebration was to express our deepest appreciation for the work volunteers do, many on a daily basis, for the seniors we serve throughout the Village. We also honored several volunteers who have went above and beyond in their service to Eliza Bryant Village over the last year. 2017 Make A Difference Day

Eliza Bryant Village joined Imagine YOUth, Serve Ohio and The Cleveland Police Foundation on Saturday, October 28, 2017 for national Make A Difference Day. Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others. Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others.
